    clearlicense Error Using host as license server but it does not have a valid license database

    Problem:


    cleartool: Error: Unable to contact license server on host specified host is not a license server.

    root@localhost etc]# /apps/cc7.0.1/7.0.1/linux_x86/clearcase/linux_x86/bin/clearlicense
    Licensing information for ClearCase.
    clearlicense: Error: Using host "localhost.localdomain" as license server, but it does not
    have a valid license database.
    License server "localhost.localdomain" specified in /var/adm/rational/clearcase/config/license_host.

    ==========================

    We have to add our license to the Atria license file:

    Solution:
    create a license.db file with a valid CC Atria license in /var/adm/atria
