Error in WebSphere Silent Install when using a responsefile

Process, com.ibm.ws.install.ni.ismp.actions.WasSilentInstallInputValidationAction, err, The following option name installLocation is required but not defined, please refer to sample response files for correct option names.

Solution

command should be
./install -options "/<fully_qualified_path>/responsefile.base.txt" -silent

not

./install -options "./responsefile.base.txt" -silent
