I like to install my deployment manager to /apps/was/ws51/profiles/dmgr

Because I opted for Embedded Messaging client, the install gets upset because I have not installed WebSphere MQ client.

Deployment Manager Installation - Embedded Messaging verification

You can either install WebSphere MQ client or skip having an Embedded Messaging system. Depends on what applications you are going to run on your server. If you are going to run JMS then you will need to install MQ Client at a least.

Install MQ and re-start installation

Make sure you install MQ Series 5.3.04 or later
