    wasprofile command

    The wasprofile command line tool creates all Application Server runtime environments in Version 6. The command creates a profile, which is the set of files that define the runtime environment for a stand-alone application server.

    You can also use the profile creation tool graphical user interface to create and manage profiles.

    Sample: How to remove a profile:

    wasprofile.sh -delete -profileName dmgr, then run ./wasprofile.sh -validateAndUpdateRegistry

    anwser = [] which means there are no profiles




    Sample: Help from the command line

    ./wasprofile.sh (Windows wasprofile.bat)
    The available modes are: create, augment, delete, unaugment, deleteAll, listProfiles, getName, getPath, validateRegistry, validateAndUpdateRegistry, help
    For detailed help on each mode enter: -<mode> -help. For example, -create -help.
    Command line arguments are case sensitive.




    > ./wasprofile.sh -create -help
    The following command line arguments are required for this mode.
    Command line arguments are case sensitive.
    -create: Creates a new profile. Specify -help -create -templatePath <path> to get template-specific arguments.
    -profileName: The name of the profile.
    -profilePath: The intended location of the profile in the file system.
    -templatePath: The location of the profile template in the file system.
    -nodeName: The node name of the profile. The name must be unique within its cell.
    -cellName: The cell name of the profile. The cell name must be unique for each profile.
    -hostName: The host name of the profile.
    The following command line arguments are optional for this mode.
    Command line arguments are case sensitive.
    -isDefault: Make this profile the default target of commands that do not use their profile parameter.



    > ./wasprofile.sh -augment -help
    The following command line arguments are required for this mode.
    Command line arguments are case sensitive.
    -augment: Augments the given profile using the given profile template.
    -profileName: The name of the profile.
    -templatePath: The location of the profile template in the file system.




    > ./wasprofile.sh -delete -help
    The following command line arguments are required for this mode.
    Command line arguments are case sensitive.
    -delete: Deletes the profile.
    -profileName: The name of the profile.




    > ./wasprofile.sh -unaugment -help
    The following command line arguments are required for this mode.
    Command line arguments are case sensitive.
    -unaugment: Unaugments the given profile.
    -profileName: The name of the profile.




    > ./wasprofile.sh -deleteall -help

    -getName: Returns the name of the profile at the path.
    -profilePath: The intended location of the profile in the file system.




    > ./wasprofile.sh -getPath -help
    The following command line arguments are required for this mode.
    Command line arguments are case sensitive.
    -getPath: Returns the path of the profile name.
    -profileName: The name of the profile.




    > ./wasprofile.sh -validateRegistry -help
    The following command line arguments are required for this mode.
    Command line arguments are case sensitive.
    -validateRegistry: Validates the profile registry and returns a list of profiles that are not valid.




    > ./wasprofile.sh -validateAndUpdateRegistry -help
    The following command line arguments are required for this mode.
    Command line arguments are case sensitive.
    -validateAndUpdateRegistry: Validates the profile registry and lists the non-valid profiles that it purges.
