Upgrading IHS 6.02 On Solaris 9

    IHS6.0.2
Basic process is to copy the update installerfolder of the Fix pack /Refresh pack level to root of IBMIHS install and run update using silent option.
NB: Remember the key point is to remove any existing update installer directory in IBMIHS folder and replace with the update installer that you wish to run. This will ensure that all correct paths work. Later versions of the update installer in WAS 6.1 are more friendly.

Make sure IHS is not running

    /apps/was/IBMIHS/installer/IHS6.0.2/updateinstaller

copy updateinstaller of IHS6.0.2 to root of IHS ie ./apps/was/IBMIHS

    e.g. cp -r IHS6.0.2/apps/was/IBMIHS/

    cd /apps/was/IBMIHS/updateinstaller

    ./update -options responsefiles/install.txt -silent

    check logs

    IHS6.0.2.15

    rm /apps/was/IBMIHS/updateinstaller

    cd /apps/was/IBMIHS/installer/IHS6.0.2.15

copy updateinstaller of IHS6.0.2/15 to root of IHS ie ./apps/was/IBMIHS

    e.g. cp -r updateinstaller/ /apps/was/IBMIHS

    cd /apps/was/IBMIHS/updateinstaller

    ./update -options responsefiles/install.txt -silent

    Check logs

    Similar process for Patching Plugins

    Plugin6.0.2

    rmove updateinstaller folder from IBMIHS

    copy /apps/was/IBMIHS/instaler/Plugin6.0.2/updateinstaller to /apps/was/IBMIHS

Note: Edit responefiles/install.txt s to ensure that correct Plugins folder is being used

    run installer

    /update -options responsefiles/install.txt -silent

    check logs

    Plugin6.0.2.17

    remove updateinstaller folder from IBMIHS

    copy /apps/was/IBMIHS/instaler/Plugin6.0.2.17/updateinstaller to /apps/was/IBMIHS

Note: Edit responefiles/install.txt s to ensure that correct Plugins folder is being used

    run installer

    /update -options responsefiles/install.txt -silent

    check logs

    --------------------------------
    Inspect IHS version

When the webservers are restarted look for version.signature to see if the version is correct, should be found in IBMIHS root.

    ------------------------------

    Inspect Plugin version

    bash-2.05$ ./versionInfo.sh
