    Uninstalling the WAS 8 Trial

run the ./install command from the installer location

    The IIM workbench will load

    Click Uninstall

On the Install Packages screen, check the IBM WebSphere Application Server Trial v8.0 heck box and click Next as shown below

Review the summary and click Uninstall

The uninstaller will remove all profiles, application server binaries.

You will now return to the workbench.

You will now need to remove the WAS files which remain ie logs and stuff

    /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer

Exit the work bench and reload IBM Installation Manager in uninstall mode. (This may depend where IIM has been installed) The issue with trials is that they don't install exactly the same way as the Official IIM Product.

    run the following commands:

    cd /var/ibm/InstallationManager/uninstall/
    ./uninstall

    Click Next, then Uinstall

Congratulations you have now uninstalled the WebSphere Application Server 8 Trial.
