    Uninstalling WebSphere 8 Silently

If you have installed WebSphere 8 using the IIM (IBM Installation Manager) then you can use the following syntax

Navigate to the <iim_install_root>/eclipse directory and run the following command:

    Linux

    ./IBMIM --launcher.ini silent-install.ini -input <was_root>/uninstall/uninstall.xml -log /var/temp/uninstall_log.xml

    Windows

    IBMIM --launcher.ini silent-install.ini -input <was_root>/uninstall/uninstall.xml -log c:/temp/uninstall_log.xml

If you did not use IBM Installation Manager to install the product, you cannot use Installation Manager to uninstall it. Uninstall the product using the packaging and installation tools on your system.
