The EAR file could be corrupt and/or incomplete. Make sure that the application is at a compatible Java(TM) Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE) level for the current version of WebSphere(R) Application Server.
com.ibm.websphere.management.application.client.AppDeploymentException: ADMA0157E: The system cannot find any valid enterprise archive (EAR) wrapper extensions or an extension did not run successfully to set a new EAR file path.

    Reason:

The web module web.xml ie deployment descriptor is 2.5 and using annotations for servlet and thus you need to verify the WAR files version and requirements for this level of JVM.

    How this came about?

When deploying an application designed for WAS 8 JEE 6 into WAS 7 JEE 5
