    Setting up ClearCase Windows client to use Artia Licence Server


    Note: The ClearCase license is not operating system specific; however, the key can only be used on the machine that the Host ID was obtained from.

    The license string will be in the form of:
    -license ClearCase <TEMP> *.30 xxxxxxx 42b7212f.3f22t5yz.02
    -license MultiSite <TEMP> *.30 xxxxxxx 42a8139d.f8pf4e91.02


    Installing licenses on Windows:
    Add the license string by opening the ClearCase Properties panel, go to Start (> Settings) > Control Panel > double-click the ClearCase icon > Licensing tab:









    If you cannot run ClearCase Explorer, it could be a firewall issue. ClearCase uses port 371

    Add to /etc/sysconfig/iptables on Linux ClearCase server

    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 371 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport     371 -j ACCEPT
