Running WebSphere as non root user.

Here is a simple way to run WAS as a non root user.

Create a group called WAS and a user called "wasadm". It is best for cross platform UNIX that you make sure the group WAS is created first then add the new user to the WAS group on user creation.

Make sure "wasadm" has access to unix folder where you want to install WebSphere. Copy install to that folder and run the installation, WebSphere will now run as that user.
