    WebSphere 7 Create Queue Connection Factory Wizard Errors

    A connection could not be made to WebSphere MQ for the following reason: JMSCMQ0001: WebSphere MQ call failed with compcode '2' ('MQCC_FAILED') reason '2059' ('MQRC_Q_MGR_NOT_AVAILABLE').

    You have possible set up a listener on a particular ip address and you have specified the wrong ip address in the wizard.

    A connection could not be made to WebSphere MQ for the following reason: JMSCMQ0001: WebSphere MQ call failed with compcode '2' ('MQCC_FAILED') reason '2540' ('MQRC_UNKNOWN_CHANNEL_NAME').

    Reason, you have specified a channel that has not been configured for the QM


    A connection could not be made to WebSphere MQ for the following reason: JMSCMQ0001: WebSphere MQ call failed with compcode '2' ('MQCC_FAILED') reason '2035' ('MQRC_NOT_AUTHORIZED').

    Reason, the default installation of MQ has security enabled, you need to run setmqaut

    If you want to be naughty and WebSphere is running as root then do:
    useradd -G mqm root

    PS. This is not the best practice, best run WAS with a new user and group and add the new user to mqm group.
