    How to swap memory on IBM T60/T61Thinkpad.

    You wish to upgrade your memory on a T60 or T61 IBM Thinkpad laptop, here is a simple guide....

    Step 1 Unscrew the keyboard locking screes.

    • The screws to required are found on the underside of the Thinkpad.
    • You are looking to unscrew about 5 screws that have picture of the keyboard and memory





    • Sample picture of icons indicating which screws are requiring to be unscrewed to release the front section of the keyboard to replace the memory.





    Step 2
    One all the screws have been removed, unclip the from keyboard section (often contains the mouse touch-pad)


    Step 3.

    Replace memory. There might be two memory modules. There will be a base module and a slot free for you to add your new memory module. Add your new memory module to replace as required. Note: If using Windows XP you can not use the entire 4GB if you have inserted 2 * 2GB.

    Step 4

    Clip on keyboard section

    Step 5

    Put back the screws,

    Step 6

    Job done.
