You wish to upgrade your memory on a T60 or T61 IBM Thinkpad laptop, here is a simple guide....
Step 1 Unscrew the keyboard locking screes.
Step 3.
Replace memory. There might be two memory modules. There will be a base module and a slot free for you to add your new memory module. Add your new memory module to replace as required. Note: If using Windows XP you can not use the entire 4GB if you have inserted 2 * 2GB.

Put back the screws,
Step 6
Job done.
