    Could not establish a connection to the queue manager (AMQ4059)

    Message
    Could not establish a connection to the queue manager.
    Explanation
    The attempt to connect to the queue manager failed. This could be because the queue manager is incorrectly configured to allow a connection from this system, or the connection has been broken.
    Response
    Try the operation again. If the error persists, examine the problem determination information to see if any information has been recorded.

    Solution:

    On Linux I do not belong to any groups and I am not in the mqm group

    type set in a command prompt



    My username is SteveR

    Log into Linux using SSH and add new user adduser -g mqm stever -p <mypassword>

    ============================

    I also ran this command

    dspmqaut -m QMA -t channel -n SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN -p stever

    and I got the result

    AMQ7085: Object SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN, type channel not found.

    By adding the channel

    DEFINE CHANNEL(SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN) CHLTYPE(SVRCONN)

    I was then able to connect as shown below.




    I was then able to re-connect and this is the result ...
