EAR application in JEE container is upset with MQ.

Error getting JMS connection.  Linked exception is:
                                     com.ibm.mq.MQException: JMSCMQ0001: WebSphere MQ call failed with compcode '2' ('MQCC_FAILED') reason '2059' ('MQRC_Q_MGR_NOT_AVAILABLE').
            at com.ibm.msg.client.wmq.common.internal.Reason.createException(Reason.java:223)

    1. Are you sure this queue exists?
    2. If it does,is the listener running for the queue manager?
    3. If listener up is it correct port and hostname?
    4. Note if this is a cluster then MQ will have to be local on each node.

I often like to us MQ client tools for testing.
Have you tried connecting with MQ explorer? or using the supports packs for testing MQ
